Changing the Default Document Directory
To change the location of your default document directory select Preferences from the Edit menu:
This will display the Program Config Panel:
Under the File Locations tab click on the Browse button to select the new document directory.
You can also change the document directory by editing the program configuration file. The default location of the program configuration file is:
${HOME}/.encrypted_password_database/encrypted_password_database.cfg
To manually edit open the file and change the DocumentDirectory parameter to the new location:
> vi ${HOME}/.encrypted_password_database/encrypted_password_database.cfg
DocumentDirectory = /usr1/encrypted_password_database/db_files
If you want to use encrypted_password_database.cfg configuration file in another location set the EPDB_CFG environment variable in your ~/.bashrc:
export EPDB_CFG=/usr1/encrypted_password_database/encrypted_password_database.cfgSetting the EPDB_CFG environment variable allows you to use configurations other than the default.
